Solutions Engineer / Consultant – Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Security (project delivery role)

Overview

Ravanty Tech Consulting, Inc. (“Ravanty”) is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Solutions Engineer / Consultant to fill the role of delivery engineer/architect in Microsoft 365 (Modern Work) and Microsoft Security services. We provide innovative consulting and implementation services in the realm of Microsoft’s Software as a Service (SaaS). Reporting to the CTO/Technical Lead, the Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the successful delivery of client-facing projects, including solution design, implementation, and technical consulting. This role requires hands-on project execution, a commitment to technical excellence, and a focus on delivering high-quality services that drive client satisfaction and business growth.

Primary responsibilities

• Working in Solutions Engineer capacity to design and execute Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Security solutions based on client requirements and design specifications

• Recommend solutions that aligns with clients’ business needs and requirements, and discuss benefits and risks

• Be able to articulate pros & cons of the architecture decision across a wide spectrum of factors

• Work together with Project Manager/Coordinator to successfully scope and execute the work respectively based on proposed timelines.

• Provide configuration, recommendations, and best practices to multi-disciplinary solutions as part of the Microsoft 365 family of products

• Assist in the development of detailed project specifications where applicable and provide scope of work

• Be accountable for the technical architectural guidance provided to our clients

• Participate in projects depending on the demand, sensitivity of the project etc.

Participate in technical presentations, workshops, and presentations/webinars as required

Required experience

Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology

• 3-5 years of experience in hands-on delivery/consulting role working with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Security transformation projects in a role of Senior Consultant or Solutions Architect

• Experience designing Microsoft 365 solutions for small-, and mid- to large- size clients

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview including DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, DSPM, Data Lifecycle Management, eDiscovery, Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance, and Records Management.

• Experience developing and tuning DLP policies, custom Sensitive Information Types (SITs), Exact Data Match (EDM), and Trainable Classifiers.

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, NIST, and ISO 27001.

• Familiarity with data discovery, risk assessment, and compliance reporting.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance architecture.

• Experience designing and implementing data governance, data classification, and data protection strategies.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender Suite, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Exchange Online.

• Hands-on experience and understanding of Microsoft Sentinel

• Experience in Microsoft Azure including Microsoft Sentinel is preferred but not required

Additional experience in the following areas is highly desired:

• Experience working with a complex Identity, Messaging, Collaboration, Devices, and Security infrastructure environments and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures, change controls, and client’s processes

• Understanding of business pains, use cases, and how technology can be aligned with client’s business objectives

• Understanding of different industry verticals and their needs

• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture scenarios

• Experience in tenant-to-tenant migrations

• Experience with Identity & Access Management, SSO Apps integration with Entra ID

• Experience using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and implementation of integrated solutions

• Multi Factor Authentication (cloud) and Conditional Access

• Experience in Microsoft Intune: Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM); protection and app restrictions on various mobile devices, including considerations around Windows PCs

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot and agents

Education/Certifications

Microsoft certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400)

• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)

• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

• BS (Business Management, Computer Science, or Information Systems) preferred or equivalent experience
